With weaker winds this morning it is starting off colder in some areas with widespread frost across Northern California.
Minus a few high clouds our daytime highs will be about the same as yesterday.
The winds will pick back up again on Wednesday for many of the same locations but probably won’t be as strong as what we saw on Monday.
A fairly strong ridge of high pressure for this time of year will build over NorCal Wednesday and Thursday bringing valley highs close to 70 degrees. It will be closer to the upper 50’s on the coast, and low to mid 50’s in the mountains.
Cold artic air is expected to work its way into NorCal from the north as we go into the weekend. The positioning of this storm with determine whether or not parts the mountains see snow and even rain in the valley.
For now, I’m keeping it dry especially for the coast and the valley but there may be enough moisture for some light snow in the Southern Cascades and Northern Sierra Friday into Saturday.
Stay tuned…
